It is getting harder to reach food in the world every day. According to researches, fruit and vegetable consumption is expected to decrease by 4 percent in 2050 due to climate change. The 2019 report of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) also reveals that in 2018, one out of every nine people in the world faced the problem of malnutrition.

The World Health Organization recommends the consumption of 5-9 servings of vegetables or fruits daily so that we can get the vitamins and minerals we need from food.

“For a healthy life, we should eat rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids”

Malnutrition causes many health problems from fatigue to loss of muscle and fat tissues, from depression to respiratory problems, from skin problems to heart failure. Underlining that regular and adequate nutrition is very important for leading a healthy life and supporting immunity, Eczacı Ayşen Dincer says: We must eat rich. Unfortunately, we cannot do this. For this reason, you can use the right multivitamin supplements of vitamins C and D, selenium and zinc, which are important for immunity, and you can choose mixed formulas that contain amino acids as well as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants.

Dincer says that if the person does not have any chronic diseases or special diseases, they can use a multivitamin prepared for age, gender and need without the advice of a doctor. Stating that some multivitamins contain vitamins such as A, D, E and K that accumulate in high doses of fat, therefore, using these products without the supervision of a healthcare professional can harm the body, Dincer recommends that reliable brands’ products that do not contain preservatives, gluten, and yeast should be preferred when purchasing vitamins.
